The high school in Ibaraki Prefecture is advancing the plan to make the student do the experiment that uses the nuclear reactor such as "Radiography" to see the inside of the material in the neutron beam instead of X rays. The research that uses the nuclear reactor doesn't have the example in the high school according to the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology while conferring with Japan Atomic Energy Agency that owns the nuclear reactor in Tokaimura. Principal Yukio Suzuki is speaking, "It wants to give the chance to have exceeded high school student's frame, and to do wide study".

It is three schoolboys of three years that experiment by the part of the approach as "Super-science high school" (SSH) of Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science, and Technology that makes the science and mathmatics education an emphasis who chose the neutron etc. to be topics of research in same school SSH class. If it is early after receiving necessary guidance, it is scheduled to work on the experiment etc. that use the neutron beam by the end of this month.

The mechanism side proposes the use of research furnace "JRR?3" where the same neutron is used as "It is too advanced" though the school hoped for the experiment with large-scale experiment facilities "J?PARC" (Japan Proton Accelerator Research Complex) of the world best performance at first. However, because less than 18 years old cannot enter it in the radiation management district by ordinance as the researcher, it thinks about the analysis of the outcome of an experiment etc.

JCO critical accident happens in adjoining Tokaimura in 99 in the school, the school official who is pursuing a project : though it is said that there was a voice to doubt the design of experiment, too. 「Safety is left under the lead of the mechanism. The student's memory of the accident ten years ago is also thin, and there is no resistance to nuclear power. 」It speaks.
